Make the changes
Update Issue date and Expiry / due date
Enter the dates from the renewed certificate. Status is calculated from the expiry date, so the record’s badge follows the new date.
Check Property, Unit and Compliance type
These should rarely change during a renewal. If one is wrong, correct it here rather than creating a second record.
Update the Responsible contact and Notes
Record the new certificate reference and any change of provider.
Select Save changes
Select Cancel to close without changing anything.
Attach the renewed certificate
Upload the new file
In the record’s Compliance documents section, select Upload replacement evidence and add the renewed certificate. Then reopen the record and check which files are listed under each filter. Keep your own copy of the earlier certificate.
Frequently asked questions
Will the old dates be kept when I renew?
Do not assume earlier dates are retained in History for a certificate record. Before saving new dates, make sure you hold your own copy of the superseded certificate.
Why does the record still show as expiring soon after I uploaded the new certificate?
Uploading a file does not change dates. Open Edit / renew and enter the new expiry date.
Can I undo an archive?
Restoring archived records is not covered by this guide. If you archive a record by mistake, contact Fructus before creating a replacement record.
Does Fructus confirm that my property is legally compliant?
No. Fructus helps you organise compliance records, monitor deadlines and manage supporting evidence. Compliance information reflects the records and dates entered into your workspace and does not constitute an independent legal assessment or certification. Requirements vary depending on the property and circumstances, so seek professional advice where appropriate.
